Planning Ahead with the Quarterly Member Content Toolkit
By Dakota Damschroder, Communications Editor, CrossState Credit Union Association
To an outsider, marketing may seem simple and straightforward. But underneath every beautifully polished campaign can often be hours of brainstorming, writing, designing, and fine-tuning—all to get each detail just right for maximum impact.
Marketers and communicators do incredible work to engage members at their credit unions, and CrossState Credit Union Association is committed to supporting these efforts. To help ease the burden of creating content and planning ahead, we launched a new free resource this year: the Quarterly Member Content Toolkit.
To be released every March, June, September, and December, each toolkit will offer a bevy of content—social media graphics, customizable Canva templates, blogs, sample email and social copy, and more—on topics relevant both for the quarter ahead and throughout the year. The first, made available last June, targeted the fall months of September, October, and November, focusing on:
- IRA/retirement
- Fraud prevention
- End-of-year auto loans
- Holiday spending/loans
- CU Kind & International Credit Union Day
- The credit union difference
- General Election
And coming up in September, the winter toolkit will provide content to help credit union marketers prepare for December, January, and February, hitting topics such as tax preparation and debt consolidation loans.
Most importantly, the Quarterly Member Content Toolkit is designed for you. Your marketing team holds the true expertise on your credit union’s brand and voice, and this resource is meant to simply help supplement your planning and make the process smoother. Everything can be downloaded and customized for use in whatever way works best to support your credit union’s efforts.
Effective member engagement isn’t possible without the efforts of a strong marketing team, whether you’re a department of one or part of a collaborative unit. With creative ingenuity and supportive resources, you can find new ways to bring in members and foster long-term loyalty for a robust community.
