Loan/Operations Officer — Vasco FCU

Vasco Federal Credit Union, located in Latrobe, PA, is seeking a full time loan/operations officer.  The position requires 37.5 hours of work per week and will pay $21.00-$23.50 per hour.  We are not open weekends or evenings.

The successful candidate will manage the lending function of the credit union. The credit union currently offers closed end vehicle, home equity, and signature loans. In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also handle paying credit union bills, managing the credit union’s vault and ATM, answering the telephone, and occasional teller work (the CEO still works the teller line several hours per week!).

The credit union is slow paced and low stress. We average 11 loans per month. Our last staff meeting was in 2009.  We have no sales goals, nor do we require mandatory community service. Daily naps are possible provided you get your work done.

Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance is provided to full time employees. A 401K plan with a 3% employer contribution and up to a 3% match of employee contributions is available after one year of employment. Paid time off includes all federal holidays, your birthday and Good Friday. Five vacation days and six sick days are provided in the first year of employment.

Two to five years of credit union or banking experience is preferred but isn’t necessary.
