A learning experience tailored for future credit union leaders:
CrossState Leadership School is an opportunity to gain leadership skills and move your career forward in a fun, collaborative environment. Students learn from Penn State Corporate Learning instructors and from credit union peers and colleagues.
In a combination of classroom learning and team building, students walk away with improved leadership skills, ideas to improve their credit union, and a network of peers. CrossState Leadership School students learn by participating in hands-on activities while enjoying the great outdoors. The team building activities focus on improving skills in cooperation, trust, problem-solving, and relationships. Each activity is the catalyst for discussion of individual and team concepts. Skills facilitators guide participants through the process of analyzing what was learned and also how to apply the experience in their work setting.
After completing their first year of each course, students are required to complete a project utilizing their skills and knowledge that will benefit their credit union. Projects are evaluated by the CrossState Leadership School Advisory Committee. Outstanding projects are selected for presentation to the class participants the following year.
