Angela McGowan is a principal with Harrisburg law firm Pillar+Aught. Angela concentrates her practice on the negotiation and execution of business and real estate transactions. She regularly counsels developers, landowners, and business owners in the leasing, zoning, financing, and purchase and sale of commercial properties. Angela also regularly represents financial institutions and businesses related to entity formation, acquisition, commercial lending, and workout and collection matters. Angela was a Central Penn Business Journal’s 2017 “Forty Under 40” winner and a 2016 “Women of Influence” winner. She graduated first in her class from Widener University School of Law. Kate Deringer Sallie is a co-founder and principal of Pillar+Aught. She concentrates her practice in the areas of creditors’ rights, loan workouts, commercial lending transactions, and commercial bankruptcy. Kate represents financial institutions with respect to loan workouts, collection matters, lender liability actions, and as creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases. Kate is a Penn State University Dickinson School of Law graduate and continues her involvement at her alma mater by serving as a practitioner instructor. Kate was named Best Lawyers’ 2022 Lawyer of the Year for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was included on the Power 30 List for Law and Lobbyists in Central Pennsylvania for 2022. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, and International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, and is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Nicola Foggie is the Chief Regulatory Officer at CrossState Credit Union Association. She holds certifications in CUCE, BSACS, and CUERME and works to ensure your credit union is compliant and up to date on the latest changes. Ann Renfrew is the Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Officer at CrossState. In her role, Ann works closely with both the compliance and advocacy teams to answer calls on the Compliance Hotline and research and analyze legislative and regulatory changes. She helps your credit union stay informed and up to date on what you need to do to stay in compliance. Ann holds CUNA’s Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation and Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designation. Ann also has her J.D. and is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania.
