The 16 Personalities Assessment is often used to help people explore career fields, improve communication in the workplace, and support leadership development. The Assessment is a valuable tool to identify your character traits and self-reflect on your strengths and weaknesses, as well as better understand how you manage conflict. Attendees will complete the 16 Personalities Assessment ahead of time and bring their results to be discussed in a group setting.
CU Spotlight
Led by Lisa Nacey, Assistant Vice President of Engagement, Pheple FCU
Talking about your personality test results is all well and good, but how can you take these results and effectively implement them in the workplace? The team from PHEPLE FCU will join the group to discuss how they harnessed the power of personality tests to create a more cohesive work environment. Lisa Nacey, the Director of Marketing and DEI Officer at PHEPLE, will lead the session and explore effective ways for you to get the most from your results.
Career Mapping: Drawing the Map as You Go
Led by Matt Biegenwald, MSRII, TruMark Financial Credit Union
The traditional “one-size-fits-all” career ladder is giving way to a more personalized and flexible framework—one that honors the uniqueness of every individual’s path. In this interactive seminar, join Matt as he explores the empowering concept of “squiggly careers,” inspired by Helen Tupper and Sarah Ellis’s award-winning book The Squiggly Career and their acclaimed TED Talk.
Dive into a holistic approach to career development, focused on identifying your strengths and values, building unshakable confidence, and cultivating meaningful networks. This session will challenge you to rethink linear success, embrace reinvention, and “draw your map as you go”—turning uncertainty into opportunity and making the journey just as rewarding as the destination.
Moving from a Doer to a Leader
Led by Dan Dochterman, Manager, PSECU
Transitioning from a top-performing individual contributor to a successful manager can be challenging. This presentation, “Moving From a Doer to a Leader,” is designed to help newer managers navigate the complexities of this shift. Attendees will learn strategies for effective delegation, fostering team collaboration, and driving the success of their business unit through the achievements of their team members.
Through practical insights and real-world examples, this session will equip managers with the tools they need to build trust, empower their teams, and create a supportive environment that encourages growth and productivity. Join us to discover how to transform your leadership approach and ensure the success of your business unit by leveraging the strengths of others.
Practicing Emotional Intelligence
Led by Deana Sweigart, Indirect Sales and Service Manager, Members 1st FCU
Emotional intelligence starts with noticing your emotions before reacting to them. Whether you’re serving a member, handling a tough situation, or simply showing up for your team, your emotional awareness is what sets the tone. This session will explore how practicing emotional intelligence helps you communicate with empathy, respond with intention and strengthen relationships.
