NCUA emphasizes that credit unions that engage in commercial lending activities need to have the people, processes, and policies in place to ensure the safety and soundness of their operations. Join Murray Halperin and Bob Perkins from Biz Lending & Insurance Center and CrossState’s Joanne Broderick for a full day of Member Business Lending training. 

We will start the morning off with a review of NCUA Rules and Regulations Part 723, and lending department staff responsibilities to include how to create a thorough Credit Approval Document.  In the afternoon session, we will cover participation and underwriting practices and strategies.  The use of P/L Statements and Balance Sheets in conjunction with tax returns to provide a better idea of how the business functions financially, understanding the Operating Cycle, and what key ratios indicate about a business will round out the afternoon session.
