Announcing a Hope in Action Legend: Barbara Fortney
CrossState Credit Union Foundation is proud to honor Barbara Fortney as a Hope in Action Legend! The former CEO of Lanco Federal Credit Union (FCU), she dedicated 42 years to the credit union and its members in various roles. Though she sadly passed in fall of 2025, her memory in the Lancaster Community lives on.
We are honored to have had Barbara Fortney as a founding leader and credit union pioneer. She led Lanco FCU through extraordinary transformation, and her contributions continue to impact our success through member value, advocacy, and education. Today, we continue to honor her legacy through the various services we provide to our members.
