Engage Your Staff and Members Now; Over 55,000 Emails Sent to Congress!

With members of Congress in their districts this week, it’s crucial for credit unions to sustain the momentum of our Don’t Tax My Credit Union campaign. Since the campaign’s launch, credit union leaders, volunteers, and members have sent over 55,000 emails to New Jersey and Pennsylvania’s congressional delegations. But we can’t stop now—the reconciliation process is just around the corner.

This week, CrossState and district credit unions are gearing up for meetings with Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1) and Mike Kelly (R-PA-16), key members of the House Ways and Means Committee overseeing tax reform. The focus of these meetings will be the value of the credit union tax exemption and the benefits it provides members and communities. Discussion will also include concerns about the recent changes at NCUA.

What Credit Unions Must Do Now:

Time is short, so we urge credit unions to engage their staff and members immediately by utilizing CrossState’s Advocacy platform where you can contact your member of Congress and our Don’t Tax My Credit Union Advocacy Resource Hub to access a number of resources and share your testimonials, success stories about member activation, op-eds, letters to the editor, and more.

Visit the Don’t Tax My Credit Union Advocacy Resource Hub today—and don’t forget to share your stories so we can amplify your message and make an even greater impact!
