New Jersey and Pennsylvania Credit Unions Kick Off 2024 GAC

An estimated 6,000 credit union leaders came together in Washington D.C. for the 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) with over 90 from NJ and PA. The event began yesterday with a Small Credit Union Roundtable and Keynote Speaker, Cassandra Worthy. 

CrossState members gathered for a networking reception for attendees with special guest, NCUA Board Member, Kyle Hauptman, and to converse with one another and to prepare their Hill visits this week. View 2024 GAC Materials.  

CrossState and credit unions will be meeting today with the legislative offices of Rep. Dan Meuser, House Financial Services Committee member, Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Rep. Lloyd Smucker. 

Today, credit union leaders have a packed schedule ahead of them. They started with the general session at 9:30 a.m. where they heard from Actor-Humanitarian Gary Sinise followed by a discussion on interchange, AI, industry trends, payment systems, and an economic review.  

CrossState will be joining NCUA Board representatives to discuss crucial NCUA updates impacting credit unions, including the agencies 2024 focus.
