Cards Program Specialist – Hidden River Credit Union

Hidden River Credit Union, a 215-million-dollar credit union located in Pottsville, PA is currently seeking a Cards Program Specialist to join our growing team.  The Cards Program Specialist will oversee all daily activities, responsibilities, and operations associated with the credit union’s debit card programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct, plan, organize, and control all daily operational activities, and responsibilities associated with the credit union’s debit card programs. 
  • Manage daily operations including and relating to card ordering, processing, program database, inventory, re-issues, pin ordering, disputes cases, fraud, and all other related card activities.
  • Coordinate all card functions and operations with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Work in coordination with front-line staff for member questions and needs.
  • Assist in the development and operations of card and payment operations.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all card-related business processes and internal operations in accordance with department procedures.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of daily balancing processes and accurately post transactions, corrections, adjustments, and exceptions to accounts with proper account notes.
  • Perform daily file maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with all guidelines, directives, regulations, and laws. 
  • Perform risk assessments, risk mitigation, and uphold internal controls.
  • Works to achieve growth usage objectives.
  • Cross sell programs.
  • Ensure superior member service standards are always maintained in accordance with HRCU’s vison, mission, and core values. 
  • Perform all other job responsibilities or duties as directed or assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask.
  • Work independently and set priorities to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand reports, procedures and disclosures related to cards.
  • Ability to complete required certification/training & education.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Required Experience:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years in card processing work experience.
  • Preferred banking, credit union, or financial institution experience.
