Patrick Conway became President & CEO of CrossState Credit Union Association (CrossState) on January 1, 2020 when the merger of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association and New Jersey Credit Union League closed. Conway had served as President & CEO of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA) since October 28, 2013. Prior to PCUA, Conway served for 12 years as President & CEO of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA).
Before joining PRLA, Conway served as President & CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and as President & CEO of the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County.
Conway was appointed Director of the Governor’s Action Team by former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, where he led Pennsylvania’s efforts to recruit new business investments from around the world. Conway left the Ridge Administration to run for U.S. Congress in Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District in 1996. After his run for Congress, Conway served as Executive Director of the Dole-Kemp ’96 Presidential Campaign in Pennsylvania.
Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell appointed Conway to the Governor’s Food Safety Council and Pennsylvania’s Travel and Tourism Partnership Board. Conway served as President of the Council of State Restaurant Associations, as a Director on the National Restaurant Association’s Board of Directors and was appointed by current Governor Tom Wolf to the Governor’s Transition Committee.
Conway has also served on the boards of directors of the Penn State College of Liberal Arts, Centre Community Hospital, U.S. Chamber Northeast Institute for Organization Management, Centre County United Way, and the Technology Council of Pennsylvania. Conway currently serves on the boards of the American Association of Credit Union Leagues and Credit Union House on Capitol Hill.
Conway is a 1987 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a BA in Political Science. He is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management (IOM), and a certified Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE). Conway and his wife Kathleen have 2 children and live with their son Brennan and daughter Anna in Harrisburg, PA.
